Unbox
Remove the branch from its box. Do not wish yet. The branch has waited this long — it can wait until you're ready.
Wish
Hold the branch in both hands and make your one wish. Say it once, clearly, in your head. Do not negotiate. Do not bundle wishes.
Break
Snap the branch cleanly in half at the wax seal. The wish locks in the instant it breaks. Keep both halves somewhere safe until the wish arrives.

Why willow?
River folk have always sworn that a willow growing where two streams meet keeps every secret spoken beneath it. Travelers would kneel at the roots, name the one thing they wanted most, and break a fallen branch to seal the bargain.
The rule never changed: one branch, one wish. Those who broke branch after branch found the willow stopped listening altogether — so the careful ones saved theirs for the wish that actually mattered.
Every Wishing Branch we cut comes with that old rule attached. We can't promise the willow is listening. We can promise you'll think harder about what you really want than you have in years.

The rules
How many wishes do I get?
One per branch. The branch is single-use and extremely strict about it. Additional wishes require additional branches — orders are capped at three so there are enough to go around.
Can I change my wish after the branch breaks?
No. The wish locks in the instant the branch snaps. We suggest rehearsing on an ordinary stick from your yard first. The willow can tell the difference; your nerves can't.
Is there anything I can't wish for?
The branch will not entertain wishes for more wishes, wishes that rewrite the past, or wishes that override another person's free will. Lottery-related wishes are technically permitted but historically disappointing.
Will my wish actually come true?
We are legally — and honestly — obliged to say no. The Wishing Branch is for entertainment and reflection only. No actual wishes are granted. The real effect is that you finally say the thing you want most out loud to yourself; what you do about it afterward is up to you.
What exactly arrives in the box?
A real, kiln-dried river-willow branch with a numbered wax seal at its center — that's where it snaps — plus a printed card with the ritual and the rules.
